2017 Empire Awards

Daniel Mays attended the 2017 Empire Awards on Sunday March 19th at the Roundhouse in London.

From Empire Magazine’s red carpet blog (4:42PM): Daniel Mays talking about how he got the role for the multi-nominated Rogue One. “I was on a half-term break with my kids in Devon. No audition, but I had to have a Skype chat with them from an NCP car park. It was completely surreal.”

Danny and Anne-Marie Duff presented Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie with the Best TV Series award for The Night Manager.

Royal Television Society Awards

The Royal Television Society (RTS) Awards ceremony was held last evening 21 March at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. Line of Duty series 3 was nominated for two awards:

  • Drama Series
  • Writer Drama – Jed Mercurio

Commiserations were in order for Line of Duty as Happy Valley won both of those categories.
